Practice sessions

The International Dragon Boat Festival committee will notify you of the Practice Committee contact to book your sessions. Practice times will be allocated on a first come first serve basis. Note: That any team that has not paid their registration fee or submitted waiver forms shall not be permitted to practice or to book practices.

Practice Requirements

Please note that all persons who enter a boat either at training or at the event must have signed a waiver. There shall be NO exceptions to this requirement.

The Waiver Form is available in the "Registration" section of the website. Captains are to photocopy them and distribute to ALL team members. Each team member must sign a waiver form. It is the captains' responsibility to ensure all team members have signed and understood this waiver.

Please give signed waiver forms to the Practice Committee or International Dragon Boat Festival organizers at your first practice. If a team member enters a dragon boat during the event and he or she has not signed a waiver, that team may be subject to disqualification. All junior competitors/high school students must have a parent/guardian sign their waiver prior to entering a dragon boat. There shall be no exceptions to this rule.
